OUR STORY
The Asian Pacific American Leadership Action Fund (APALAF), a 501(c)(4), started when a group of Asian American community activists, public officials, and political think tanks came together to discuss how to build on the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community political power in an influential and wider way.

Despite our rich and diverse history, the voices of the API community have been consistently stifled and excluded from the highest spaces of power. The group expressed their frustration at the lack of API representation in the halls of government, in corporate board rooms, in notable political firms and organizations in California.

APALAF was born in the efforts of holding historically oppressive systems accountable and will actively work to provide an extensive arm that can serve to strengthen the calls from our community that has been dismissed and left behind for far too long.
